At Epic Nursing Services, we understand that no one can provide love and support quite like family. Our Adult Foster/Family Care (AFC) program is designed to empower family members and close friends to care for their loved ones at home — while receiving the guidance, training, and financial support they need.
AFC is a MassHealth-funded program that allows qualifying adults who need daily assistance due to medical, physical, or mental health conditions to live at home with a caregiver — often a family member. In return, the caregiver receives a monthly tax-free stipend and professional support from our registered nurses and case managers.
Your loved one stays in a familiar, supportive environment surrounded by people who care most — reducing stress and improving quality of life.
Caregivers may receive up to $18,000 per year, tax-free, depending on the level of care their loved one qualifies for (Level I or Level II). This stipend helps ease the financial burden of caregiving, allowing families to focus on what matters most.
Our dedicated team of registered nurses and care managers visits regularly to provide medical oversight, training, and emotional support — ensuring caregivers are never alone in the process.
If your loved one has MassHealth and qualifies for AFC, services are covered at no cost to the caregiver or the individual receiving care.

GAFC allows individuals with physical, mental, or medical conditions to receive personal care and case management services while living at home — giving them the attention they need without disrupting their familiar lifestyle.
Every caregiver in our GAFC program is thoroughly background-checked, trained, and selected for their commitment to quality care. More importantly, they are loving, caring, and compassionate individuals who treat clients like family.
We know that life doesn’t run on a fixed schedule. That’s why our GAFC program is flexible — caregivers can visit whenever the client is available, helping to create a care plan that fits naturally into their daily routine and lifestyle.
Our caregivers assist with essential daily tasks like bathing, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility — all in the comfort and privacy of the client’s home.
Each client receives regular visits from a registered nurse and a case manager who ensure that care is safe, effective, and adjusted to meet changing needs.
This program is MassHealth-funded, meaning eligible individuals can receive services at no cost to themselves or their families.

We develop and regularly update individualized care plans based on each client’s needs, medical history, and daily living goals.
Our registered nurses and case managers make scheduled visits to evaluate the home environment, assess health conditions, and ensure services are delivered according to the care plan.
We provide ongoing training, guidance, and emotional support for caregivers — helping them succeed in their roles and feel confident in the care they provide.
